Isla Saona is a 42-square-kilometer oasis located off the southern coast of the Dominican Republic. It was originally named “Adamanay” by the Taino Indians and was renamed by Christopher Columbus during his second voyage to the Americas in 1494. The name “Saona” honors his friend Michele da Cuneo from Savona, Italy.
Saona Island is one of the most famous beaches in the country, celebrated for its white sands, turquoise waters, and tropical palms. We will take you to the island in a speedboat, which includes a stop at a natural pool with crystal-clear waters in the middle of the sea with Full Day Saona Island Adventure.
Once we arrive at Saona Island, you will have plenty of options to choose from, including swimming in the calm waters, enjoying the open bar, relaxing in a beach hammock, playing volleyball, savoring a delicious traditional lunch, or strolling along the coast.
