This trip starts with a Local Tour Guide that knows the original History of the gorgeous National Park.<\/p>\n

Vi starter fra hovedhavnen i Los Haitises National Park ved navn Ca\u00f1o Hondo (Deep Creek) p\u00e5 en B\u00c5D med redningsveste. Vi vil nyde den r\u00f8de mangroveskov, indtil vi ankommer til San Lorenzo-bugten. En lille bugt ind i Saman\u00e1-bugten. Og s\u00e5 er vi i gang! Den f\u00f8rste fantastiske ting, du kan se, er samlingen af en enorm bjerg\u00f8 af kalksten kaldet Mogotes. P\u00e5 toppen af dem er der mere end 700 arter af planter og mange v\u00e5domr\u00e5defugle, der flyver rundt. Through the mangroves and Land at the open San Lorenzo Bay, from where you can photograph the rugged forest landscape. Look to the water to spot Manatees, crustaceans, and dolphins.<\/p>\n

The national park\u2019s name comes from its original inhabitants, the Taino Indians. In their language \u201cHaitises\u201d translates to highlands or Hills, a reference to the coastline\u2019s steep geological formations with Limestones. Aventure deeper into the park to explore caves such as the Cueva de la Arena and Cueva de la L\u00ednea. Caves in the reserve were used as shelter by the Taino Indians and, later, by hiding pirates. Look for drawings by Indians that decorate some of the walls. After visiting Los Haitises National Park we will go back to the port where our trip started.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
